WebTeam Corporation
WebTeam Corporation was founded at a time when autism intervention in the classroom was largely unstructured. Back in 2007 and the ensuing couple of years, WebTeam was busy experimenting with a few technologies to ascertain if teachers could benefit from using touchscreen kiosks in the classroom. The experimentation led to the development of S.H.A.N.E.S.H. Colors Program, which, together with the app-based iLearnNEarn Program that was put to use in 2011, charted a new horizon in autism treatment by extending classroom intervention to homes and therapy centers globally.
Since January 2012, WebTeam’s autism apps have registered 1.2 million downloads across iTunes, Google Play, Nook and Kindle, while delivering 10,000 daily sessions on average.

S.H.A.N.E.S.H. – WebTeam’s method of intervention delivery
WebTeam Corporation’s S.H.A.N.E.S.H. Colors Program is an innovative way to deliver extended evidence-based therapy like applied behavior analysis (ABA). This intervention program is specially designed for special needs education and children with learning disabilities or individuals with autism or autism spectrum disorders. This well tested iPad and tablet based technology extend the same ABA based therapy from schools or therapy centers to homes. The major benefit of this integrated technology is data collection. We track each and every touch on the screen and recordings of a student’s facial expressions and physical behaviors for further analysis by experts.
The patent pending S.H.A.N.E.S.H. Colors Program uses touchscreen technology and animation to provide individualized intense IEP (Individualized Education Plan) driven intervention utilizing individual's personal interest and preferences. WebTeam has a fully integrated tracking and monitoring system delivered on the iPad, Tablets, mobile devices on the iOS, Microsoft Windows and Android platforms. Individualization, customizable settings with powerful data tracking and instant reporting features are the focal points of S.H.A.N.E.S.H. Colors Program.
S.H.A.N.E.S.H. Colors Program introduces a synchronized, holistic, integrated and collaborative intervention approach between schools, homes and providers for special needs education. WebTeam Corporation have joined hands with parents, educators, therapists, researchers, analysts, technocrats and service providers to deliver synchronized and cost-effective intervention based on IEP goals and individual preferences.

WebTeam's pilot programs in NY-NJ
In 2007 WebTeam was introduced to after school programs related to education by Mr. Dale Caldwell, President of the Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission (MRESC) – the largest shared service provider in the area of special education and autism. In late 2007, WTC developed S.H.A.N.E.S.H. (Synchronized Holistic Approach to Novel Education at Schools and Homes) Colors Program and since then has spent its resources on R&D for special needs education. Over the last few years it has successfully run several pilot programs in partnership with leading institutions and is expanding the program further. |
Subsequent success of mobile apps
In 2011, WTC began developing its iLearnNEarn Apple iOS and Android apps for mobile phones and tablets, and web apps based on the activities of its Colors Program. It launched its first app in January 2012 and now has over 150 paid and free apps on Google Play and iTunes for teaching various skills and activities to children with autism. WebTeam has just launched about 10 apps in NOOK and in the process of launching its apps in the Microsoft Store.
In the last 6 months, a total 102,000 apps were downloaded from iTunes and Android each. The number of sessions delivered by iLearnNEarn app series has increased exponentially with total downloads exceeding 100,000. Of the top 5 apps on Google Play Store’s 245 apps for autism, 3 are developed by WebTeam. Starting from 4,000 sessions in January 2012, WebTeam delivered 146,416 sessions in January 2013. iLearnNEarn apps are delivering on an average 5,000 3-5 minute sessions daily or 280 hours of intervention; this is equivalent to 35 fulltime teachers working in a classroom at $45 per hour. Thus the value of intervention delivered daily to the children with autism is $12,600 per day.
Number of sessions played
Every app developed by WTC collects data to track the progress of the child and also for further analysis. The app-based model of intervention registered a high volume of session counts from January 2013 to August 2013.

Back in December 2012, WTC's apps engaged 18,139 players playing 106 apps 98,983 times. Note the increase in the numbers of sessions played since then. |
